Greg Vanselow

Born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Greg Vanselow began performing at age three as a dancer and gymnast. In high school, he expanded into the musical theatre, playing roles such as The Artful Dodger in Oliver! and Barnaby Tucker in Hello, Dolly! In 1989, he founded the GPA Acting Company to promote youth artistry and education in theatre, and produced and directed GPA shows for nearly a decade. A graduate of Hamline University in St. Paul, Minnesota, Greg participated in Hamline productions as a director, designer, stage manager, choreographer and performer. As a senior, he directed Michael Frayn’s Noises Off and as an alumnus was invited to direct the national premiere of Isaac Chocron’s Written and Sealed.

Greg has worked for several theatres in the Twin Cities, including C.R.O.S.S. Community Players, Theatre in the Round Players, Youth Performance Company, Lakeshore Players, Applause Community Theatre and The Minnesota Jewish Theatre Company. From 2000 to 2003 he served as the USY Play Director for the Temple of Aaron in St. Paul, where he directed and designed productions for the temple’s youth department. In 2003 Greg was named technical director and production designer for Andover High School, designing such shows as Singin' in the Rain, Seussical, and The Crucible, among many others.

As a graphic designer, Greg has produced distinctive designs for Hamline University Theatre, Special Olympics Minnesota and other private clients.
